School Site Council
Dear Families,
Baldy Mesa is seeking nominations for our School Site Council (SSC). The function of the School Site Council is to advise and approve the School Plan for Student Achievement (SPSA). The School Site Council is composed of parents, staff, and school administration. SSC members are nominated and elected by their peers and generally serve for two years. The SPSA outlines schoolwide goals and accounts for the spending of Title I federal funds and other public funds to support student achievement.
If you are interested in serving on the School Site Council, please let the office or your child's teacher know by October 5, 2023. Once we have a list of interested candidates, a schoolwide election will be held by online ballot between October 6 and October 16, 2023. SSC will meet approximately four to six times a year, with the first meeting occurring on October 18, 2023.
